Celebrate New Year’s Eve in Brampton with headliner Alessia Cara

The City of Brampton invites residents and visitors to Garden Square for a free New Year’s Eve celebration featuring a headlining performance by Alessia Cara, who will also be officially inducted into Brampton’s Arts Walk of Fame at the event.

This annual tradition returns with an outdoor concert, food vendors, and a vibrant 10-minute firework display at midnight, presented by Tim Hortons.

About the Performer

Alessia Cara is a Canadian singer-songwriter known for her unmistakable voice and heartfelt storytelling. A Grammy and multi-JUNO Award winner, she first broke through with her global hit “Here,” followed by chart-topping singles such as “Scars to Your Beautiful” and “Stay.”

Raised in Brampton, Alessia has built a career defined by authenticity, emotion, and strong connection with audiences worldwide. Her music blends pop, soul, and singer-songwriter influences, creating songs that feel intimate, relatable, and uplifting.

As part of this year’s New Year’s Eve celebration, Alessia Cara will be inducted into Brampton’s Arts Walk of Fame. Established in 2014, the program honours artists who have achieved excellence, built community pride, and inspired the next generation of creators. Alessia will become the 26th inductee.

Food Vendors

Attendees can enjoy a variety of food and beverages from food trucks and vendors along Main Street North, including tacos, cheese tikki burgers, kettle corn, churros, and a range of vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and halal options.

Warm beverages and seasonal treats will also be available throughout the evening.

Free Brampton Transit Service

Ride Brampton Transit for free on New Year’s Eve after 7 pm. Extended service will be offered throughout the night to help residents and visitors travel safely.

Fireworks Safety

The safety of residents remains a top priority. Under the Fireworks By-law, the use, sale, possession, and discharge of fireworks is prohibited in Brampton, except for sparklers. Sparklers are permitted under the by-law but not allowed on-site at the New Year’s Eve event.

Residents are encouraged to celebrate safely and enjoy the City’s professionally organized firework display.

Mayor’s New Year’s Levee

  • Time: 2 to 5 pm
  • Location: Brampton City Hall Atrium & Gage Park

Kick off the new year by meeting Mayor Patrick Brown and Members of Council at the annual New Year’s Levee. Enjoy light refreshments inside City Hall before heading to Gage Park for a community skate with special guests.
